After the first six weeks of the 2009-2010 NFL season, the Denver Broncos looked like one of the best teams in football. Remodeled by Josh McDaniels and his staff, the Broncos got rid of Jay Cutler, who demanded his way out of town, and brought in Kyle Orton from the Chicago Bears.
Orton started off the season as well as any other quarterback in the league, throwing for 1,465 yards, nine touchdowns, and just one interception in the first six weeks, leading the Broncos to a 6-0 record.
Everything looked great. After having a poor career in Chicago, it appeared the way Denver was using him in their offense was reviving his career and showcasing his strengths. However, over the next 10 weeks, Denver won just two games, Orton threw 12 touchdowns, but 11 interceptions, and the Broncos missed the playoffs, completing one of the bigger collapses of all-time.
