Drivin’: McDaniels, Broncos Now Among NFL’s Elite

The Denver Broncos are 6-0.

Yes, after an off-season in which they were written off (Yes, even by me, altough they could still technically lose the rest of their games and finish with the 6-10 record I predicted them to have.) because of serious personel issues (Jay Cutler demands his way out of town, [...]

Drivin’: Jake Delhomme, Jay Cutler, and Matt Schaub Are Horrible. Mark Sanchez and Adrian Peterson Aren’t.

Drivin’ will be our weekly NFL wrap-up.

New Orleans Saints 45 – Detroit Lions 27: Drew Brees could have shattered every passing record there is had the Saints not called off the guns later in the game. Instead, Brees settled for a a mediocre 358 yards and an incredible six touchdowns. Brees went all [...]

Sean B. Fitzgerald states the reasons why he is excited for the 2009 NFL Season. From annoying quarterbacks to more annoying quarterbacks, the reasons run the gamut. So print it out, hop on the toilet and forget your worries. We’re only 9 days away. [...]

2009 NFL Previews: Denver Broncos

Brandon MarshallWe’ll be doing our previews randomly over the next 32 days or so. Fifth up, the Broncos.

Last Season: 8-8, Second in AFC West.

What We Like: Eddie Royal was the most impressive rookie wide receiver in the NFL last season, picking up 91 receptions and 980 receiving yards. He did lose Jay Cutler, but he did gain Kyle Orton. That means more screens and divots that Royal has perfected as a 2nd year player. His 91 receptions could go up if Orton uses him as a safety valve instead of one his running backs.

Last Season: 9-7, second in NFC North

What We Like: Adding a franchise quarterback will never hurt. Jay Cutler demanded a trade and he got one. His rocket arm is a solid attribute as is his willingness to take risks. Though, sometimes that is one of his weaknesses.

The team that Dungy has been pushing [...]

It Must Be Great to Be a Manning

Boy do I wish my last name was Manning. The two most popular ones, at least in the current day, Eli and Peyton, both have Super Bowl rings, and now both of them have contracts that will end up giving them over $100 million. For the elder brother, the money is justified. He’s easily [...]

Fantasy Football Preview: Top Five Running Backs

Disclaimer: This is for PPR (points per reception) leagues.

1. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings – The gap between Peterson and the next best back in the NFL is the biggest difference between any two players at their respective positions in my opinion. He’s 24 and he’s only been in the NFL for two seasons. [...]

Jay Cutler to the Bears

The Denver Broncos have officially traded Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears. In return the Broncos will receiver a 1st and 3rd round pick in this year’s draft along with next year’s 1st rounder and starting quarterback Kyle Orton.

The fact that Jay was traded came as no surprise as Denver said they [...]
