The Utah Jazz have signed the 20th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Eric Maynor, to a two-year deal.

Maynor will make $1.3 million as a rookie.

Warriors Aren’t Dealing Stephen Curry to the Suns

The Golden State Warriors have stopped talks with the Phoenix Suns regarding acquiring Amar’e Stoudemire for a package that included center Andris Biedrins, forward Brandan Wright and the seventh overall pick Stephen Curry.

Apparently the Warriors were set on agreeing to Biedrins, Wright and Marco Belinelli until they saw that Curry became available when [...]

The Miami Heat Almost Traded Beasley, Chalmers

Now that the draft is over, rumors and deals that fell through are starting to trickle out as most teams are set with the picks they have made.

2009 NBA Draft Preview: No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies

Previous Pick: (No. 27) DaJuan Summers, Small Forward, Georgetown. Great size for a small forward, at 6-foot-9-250-pounds, which means he could play some four if he needs to. He has a great shot for his body, but he needs to improve his inside game. With Rudy Gay playing the majority of the minutes, Summers [...]

2009 NBA Draft Preview: No. 3 Oklahoma City Thunder

Previous Pick: (No. 25) Sam Young, Pittsburgh, Forward. A good back-up for Durant, or someone that can play shooting guard while Durant plays the three. It’s something I’d like to see the Thunder try because both of them are terrific shooters. Young has a great mid-range game to go along with his perimeter shot. [...]

2009 NBA Draft Preview: No. 4 Sacramento Kings

Previous Pick: (No. 23) Omri Casspi, Small Forward, Israel. Not the sexiest pick, but Casspi is a very gritty player. He plays with heart and he is very tough for a foreigner. He has good low post moves and he draws comparisons to Hedo Turkoglu with his outside game. His quickness and skills allow [...]
