Not surprising. LeBron is the better player at this stage in their careers, but the biggest flaw in his game is his lack of one-on-one skills. With his size, he should have an advantage in the post, but until we see otherwise, he does not have a post-up game. Kobe, on the other hand, is mostly reliant on his post-up game at this point as his athleticism fades, so that's where the game would be won.

[...] This has been a great rivalry of late but that won’t be the case this year. The Ducks are coming off a crushing loss to USC that all but took them out of the national championship hunt and they will be angry in this game. That coupled with the fact that the Beavers are one of the worst teams in the country (they lost their season opener at home to Sacramento State) will result in a huge win (45-point range) for the Ducks. At least we’ll get to see the Black Mamba run around the field for the last time before Kobe reclaims the name (THE NBA IS BACK!). [...]

[...] George Hill Speaks on the Trade July 20, 2011 by: Reporter Tweet As we know, he has mixed emotions about leaving the title-contending only NBA team he has ever known to come home. Mostly, he will miss Coach Pop’s jokes and watching Manu play. But he’s happy to be in Indiana and looking forward to what will likely be an increased role for him as a difference-maker in this league. (via But The Game Is On) [...]

While Miami's defense has been impressive, I have to point out what a great job Jason Kidd has done against bigger guards this post-season. He is so terrific at using his body. I'll be doing a full post on this tomorrow but watch how well he defends Wade on switches. Just masterful defense.

As I was going to say in my Finals preview, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs take this game. If they do, I think they'll win it in six. After they beat the Lakers in game one in the Western Conference Semi-Finals they got an edge about them and once they get that edge I think they are a very tough team to beat.
