Sam Bradford Is Done As A Sooner: Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford has decided to have season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder and has decided to enter into the 2010 NFL Draft. We don't think he is a top 10 player in the draft and I doubt he will be drafted there. Can see Jimmy Clausen, Jake Locker, Jevan Snead, and Tony Pike going before him not to mention the defensive stars that are going to be available in the top 10. Mean Mascot: "The University of Minnesota is apologizing after its Goldy Gopher mascot poked fun at a Penn State football player who was praying before last week's game.  A video made before Saturday's game at State College, Pa., shows Penn State defensive end Jerome Hayes kneeling in prayer in the end zone.  Goldy Gopher kneels in front of Hayes, according to the video posted on YouTube. Now Everyone Is Starting To Catch On: "I was disappointed with the overall play of Texas QB Colt McCoy on Saturday, in particularly his inability to be decisive with the football in the face of pressure. McCoy struggled all day finding his second and third options in the pass game and looked content to stare down his initial read and wait for him to uncover. McCoy does display good anticipation and looks comfortable throwing receivers open, but too often he has his mind made up before the snap and will throw blindly or force the ball into coverage. I love McCoy’s ability to escape pressure and buy time in the pocket, but being decisive and finding your second/third reads quickly is key at the next level, and right now McCoy just doesn’t grade out very well in that area." We Aren't The Only Ones, Another Writer Slams Texas: "Texas is the most overrated #3 team in a long time: The difference between the Longhorns and Bama/UF is wider than Aubrey O’Day’s gap.  Texas was the beneficiary of five Oklahoma turnovers yet only won that game by three points.  Colt McCoy looked awfully pedestrian against an above average OU defense.  If Sam Bradford plays that game, we’re talking about Texas being the newest residents of Fraud City.  This isn’t to say that Boise, Cincy or Iowa is better than Texas, but we’d take our chances.  The number three team in the country in years past has been a very good USC or SEC team.  Not this band of misfits." BCS Computers Love Iowa, Cincinnati, Hate Texas: The first set BCS rankings were released today and the computers have Florida, Alabama, and Iowa as their top three. Texas dropped to six according to the computers, just like we said they would, though the computers are down on USC, whom we like.
