The trade that the New Orleans Hornets made with the Oklahoma City Thunder involving star center Tyson Chandler has been rescinded. This is because the Thunder did not medically clear Chandler, according to NOLA.com.
“We welcome Tyson back with open arms,” Hornets general manager Jeff Bower said in a statement. “We went into this trade to garner more frontcourt depth to add to our team as we continue our push towards the playoffs. We expect Tyson and the rest of our big guys to step up to the challenge.”
As of now, the Hornets have about 15 more hours to trade Chandler again if they wish to, but I bet Chris Paul is enjoying at least the thought of having his best big man back in town.
This also means the Thunder get to keep Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox, along with the draft rights to DeVon Hardin.
