As you can see by the picture on the right, Chad OchoCinco kicked an extra point in yesterday’s pre-season game between the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots.
We aren’t going to lie either, it was a pretty good kick, it was the highest we have ever seen for sure because it was only a couple of feet from clearing the protective net.
Ochcocinco also leadoff the second have with a kickoff which got all the way down to the nine yard line, or 61 yards from where he kicked it.
Chad could probably make 30 yard kick since he nailed the extra point as hard as he did and kicked the ball a good 60 yards off a plastic holder. However, the thing that puzzled us was why Marvin Lewis decided to let Ochocinco kick in the first place. We know Shayne Graham is out with an injury, but wouldn’t the logical choice be to let the punter do the kicking, just like he did on every other kickoff? We’re starting to wander if this whole stunt was done just to boost ratings on “Hard Knocks”, which is featuring the Bengals this season.
Regardless, Ochocinco’s kick actually won the game for the Bengals, as they pulled out a hairsplitting 7-6 victory. It also seems like Chad’s catchphrase of “Child, please!” is starting to catch on. Well, at least that’s what he said.
the referee told me child please on the field tonight, to funny, everybody was saying it
Ocho may or may not be lieing, but this guy claims the announcers at the game said “Child, please!” when he kicked that extra points.
Our prediction: Chad relieves Jordan Palmer as the quarterback next week against the St. Louis Rams.
